There has been much discussion about a recent article saying that home birth is risky for babies. Unfortunately, there are flaws in the analysis. Here is a link for one discussion.

I am just back from an inspiring trip visiting midwives in another state. Now that I am finished with school, I am excited to expand the services that North Colorado Midwifery can offer. CDC releases birth stats for 2007

Dear Friends,

Today the CDC released the Preliminary Data for births in 2007. The birth rate is up, and so is the cesarean section rate, now nearly 32% of all births: “The cesarean delivery rate rose 2 percent in 2007, to 31.8 percent, marking the 11th consecutive year of increase and another record high for the United States.”
